I See Something In You

Although we learn many important skills throughout life, in my mind the single most important skill is the ability to communicate. It is impossible to imagine any situation, other than being a complete recluse, in which communication is not an essential part of daily living. If you interact with family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, teachers, politicians, constituents, contractors, or anybody else, you use some form of communication. One of the many benefits of joining a Toastmasters club is to learn, and refine, communication skills (including the confidence to use the skills you learn).

The following video provides a fantastic example of how a Toastmasters-trained speaker uses words, vocal variety, body language, gestures, eye contact, and movement to capture the attention of an audience, deliver a memorable message, and communicate effectively.
